Last Friday it was wonderful to see the clubhouse filled for a charity coffee morning – including many sailing club members!
A huge thank you to all who helped make the registration evening possible, sorting out the memberships, the rota and the parking permits and of course the galley and bar staff who were kept busy throughout!
The 2016 sailing season is finally upon us!
As a reminder to existing members as to why we love our club and a brief insight for potential new members as to the attraction of joining the warm and friendly sailing family atmosphere at Penzance – here is a short video highlighting our 2015 season.
The Club’s winter programme continued on Sunday 31st January with a thoroughly enjoyable Winter Walk organised by Suzannah.
The inclement weather did nothing to dampen the spirits of the Penzance and Mounts Bay Sailing Clubs first joint Dinner and Dance on Saturday 23rd January – held at the Queens Hotel.
Last evening the Clubhouse was again “packed to the rafters” to hear a talk given by Terry Marks. The title of the talk was “Penzance harbour; past, present and future”. Terry is a past Commodore of the Club and was born and brought up in Penzance.
The tables are laid – the seating plan organised – all that is missing are the Sailing Club members!
The Sailing Club’s annual Prize Giving Ceremony was held on Saturday 28th November.
To coincide with all of the renovations at the club – respected club member Adrian Symons has also commissioned a beautiful wooden plaque engraved with details of all of the National Championships which have been held at Penzance – which he has kindly presented to the club .
