Race notes
PASAB is a great way to see the delights of the Isles of Scilly with many competitors coming back year after year.
Before PASAB
Before and after the event, you can arrange to moor your boat in the Penzance inner harbour. You can contact the Penzance Harbour Master on 01736 366113 or VHF Channel 12. Note, access to the inner harbour is limited to 2 hours before and 1 hour after local highwater.
Alternatively you may be able to stay in Newlyn Harbour 1Nm to the west which has all tide access. You can contact the Newlyn Harbour Master on 01736 362523 or VHF Channel 12.
Arriving in St Mary’s
The majority of boats will finish Leg 1 sometime during Saturday morning leaving the rest of the day to rest or to explore the islands. See some useful links about exploring the islands below.
On arrival in the Isles of Scilly most boats moor in St Marys harbour, either on mooring buoys or alongside the wall (which dries). Moorings fees for St Marys harbour are included in the entrance fee.
For more information about St Mary’s Harbour see the St Mary’s Harbour website.
There are a range of restaurants, pubs and a small shop for food on the Island although most of these are in Hugh Town on St Marys.
On the Sunday evening we aim to bring together all competitors for the Leg 2 prizegiving.
Post event survey
We want to know your views on this year’s event, what you liked, however more importantly how we can make it even better for next year. We would therefore appreciate it if you could complete a few short questions about PASAB in our Post Event Survey.
