A great day today for the COGS Falmouth-Penzance race, held by Penzance Sailing Club and sponsored by A2 Rigging.
We saw the clubhouse full with all the competitors having finally made it around, in challenging light winds but glorious sunshine.
The weather was perfect on Saturday for the 2018 club regatta.
Thanks again to all who made the day possible on the safety boats and also to Brian and Liz who did great work in the race office with help from Adrian, Theresa (and Dave) put in the long hours in the galley and BBQ, and Colin who was everywhere from Courselayer to Deepsea to bar.
14 boats launched this evening into a serious breeze! In the Enterprise fleet, Tom Kliskey led from start to finish, lapping Colin Stephens and Laura Kickers, who were having an uncompetitive fun sail.
The competitors arriving at Penzance Sailing Club’s annual Enterprise Open were greeted by fine sunny weather, flat seas, and a little more than the NE F3-4 forecast. It was a small but friendly gathering, where two Looe boats joined with the five Penzance boats.
The 2018 Allen Enterprise Inland Championship was held at Blithfield Sailing Club over the weekend of 14/15 April. In addition to being the Inland Championship, this event also kicked off the 2018 National Circuit series.
