A beautiful sunny evening adorned the bay for Thursday night racing. The weather obviously endeared members as we saw 21 boats sign in. This included 3 of our fantastic sailors who have just completed the RYA Training course.

The first lap finished swiftly in a Force 4 Northerly breeze with the RS400 flying around the turning mark. The Enterprise fleet were spread out from the start with John & Di on the pin as the horn went, though the gap had closed by the end of lap 1.
The Mirrors had close racing, especially when Eric & Aoife had some difficulty dropping the kite. However, they soon recovered and caught up with Lloyd & Demelza to take the lead going into the beat.

The wind stayed consistent throughout the race and meant the Ents began to close up on each other. However, the 4th lap saw the spread develop once again.

Within the handicap fleet, Jeremy Williams had a convincing lead in the Solos with Duncan successfully battling Martyn to take 2nd place.

The Lasers too had a great race. Lousie led the pack in convincing style. Claire and Sally tussled for 2nd place and Steve showed real perseverance after capsizing more than once in windy conditions.
