St Ives Regatta

Two Lasers, two Enterprises, one Solo, RS200, RS600 plus safety rib had a change of scenery on Saturday 25th June as they travelled across from Penzance to participate in the annual St Ives Regatta

During the awards ceremony it was discovered that the Penzance sailors had fared incredibly well, with Laser sailor Brian Aldgate in third and Penzance/Mounts Bay junior Kian Andrews in first position overall.

The Regatta is eagerly anticipated by the Penzance sailors as not only is the sailing enjoyable, St Ives Sailing Club also ensure that all visitors have a wonderful day with their generous hospitality – providing refreshments in the lunch break, making certain that all sailors and helpers are made to feel welcome and organising a very entertaining and enjoyable awards ceremony.

Many thanks to St Ives Sailing Club – it is definitely an event for all dinghy sailors to add to their calendar for next year!

Thanks also to Penzance Sailors Becca Knee and Martyn Curnow for providing superb photographic memories of the day:
