Nine dinghies signed in on another gusty evening and a five lap port hand course was set by the Race Officer Terry Marks in a Northerly wind Force 4-5.
There were three in the Handicap Fleet with Steve Patten in his Solo taking the honours.
There were two Enterprises racing with a very close race on the first lap. Unfortunately, Tom Kliskey and crew Kevin Hall had problems at the gybe mark on the next lap resulting in a capsize. They righted quickly and despite sailing hard for the remaining laps they were not able to catch Giles Gilbert (crew Di Stephens).
In the Laser Fleet Neil Ruffell made the most of the conditions and crossed the line to finish in first position.
The two Mirrors enjoyed the sail with Eric Taylor’s crew Jenna Dyer having her first sail of the season hiking to keep the boat flat as they crossed the line first ahead of juniors George Schmidt and Llloyd Williams who had sailed well to complete the course in the strong winds.
