I have called a special general meeting of the club members for Thursday 11th August.
Notice of Meeting
The meeting is to propose changes to the club rules. Three past commodores and I have worked on these proposed changes to bring the rules in line with legal requirements and to make them fit for purposes of the club.
Members have received a copy of the proposed changes by email.
In the main,the changes are to allow a tightening of the structure of the committees, with the makeup of each to be more detailed. As was suggested at the last AGM, the house committee has been strengthened by the inclusion of other positions from within the club.
The club has been working to this new structure for three months now with no negative comment. I would like the changes to be implemented before this years’ AGM to allow the makeup of the committees to be more clearly defined in advance by the dinghy and cruiser forums.
I will be glad to answer any questions or queries in advance of, or at the meeting.
