If you like the idea of sailing, but don’t know where to start, don’t worry. Our Training Group teaches many new members to sail each year.
Our clubhouse
Our clubhouse overlooks Mounts Bay and with its modern facilities makes it an ideal location whether you are going sailing or coming to watch sailing.
Club history
Our club “Penzance Sailing Club” was formed in 1939 by seven people who bought 14 foot West of England Conference Redwings.
Affiliated to RYA
Penzance Sailing Club is affiliated to the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) which means we subscribe to their standards. The RYA is national authority for sailing and other watersports in the United Kingdom. RYA Team GBR, Great Britain’s Olympic sailing team, have positioned Britain as the most successful sailing nation in Olympic history and sailing as Britain’s current top-performing Olympic sport.
