Duncan Jones of Marine Discovery will be giving a fun and anecdotal talk (with a little science):
Mount’s Bay is very important for harbour porpoises. These small dolphin like animals can be found in large numbers in the bay and my research has shown that it may even be a site of global significance for them. The talk will introduce them, explain why they are different from dolphins and why Mount’s Bay is so special for them. I will also talk about why I’ve spent so much time researching them, how to spot them and where to spot them. They are notoriously tricky!
